Born on March 2, 2004, Chris Ocean isn’t your typical 21-year-old. He grew up in a children’s home and a lower-lower-middle-class household that couldn’t even afford high school. Thanks to the kindness of his community, he got the chance to study — and he ran with it. While others partied, Chris was selling clothes door to door at 15, lugging a black bag through school and selling jackets to teachers between classes. At 18, he graduated with academic honors: 80%+ in Pure Maths, Biology, and Physics, and 92% in IT. That earned him a full bursary to study Mechatronic Engineering at Stellenbosch University. In his first year, he launched a BPO business. Within months, he was earning more than some of his professors. A year later, he tripled that income. Now at 21, he drives a Porsche GT4 and a Mustang — proof that no excuse is stronger than your drive. No silver spoon. Just grit. You can do the same.
